How To Turn Your Website into a Sales Funnel?

The Internet is awash with brochure websites, but, especially now, no business can afford to fund an insanely expensive electronic business card. It's time to put your website to work and turn it into a sales funnel.

What is a Brochure Website?

Typically, a brochure website is one with maybe 6, 10 or even 20 pages which are mostly static. The pages will talk about products, service and the accomplishments of the business. Don't forget the 'links' page - surely the strangest concept of the brochure website. Why on earth would someone be interested in a bunch of other random companies I know?

Okay, so I'm being a little cruel about brochure websites. They had a role. It was to be the businesses presence on the Internet ten or twenty years ago, when 'being there' was all that was required. The serious identifier of a brochure website is one that makes you no money.

What is a Sales Funnel Website?

You can identify a successful sales funnel website by counting the money you have made from it. It's as simple as that. There are, of course, other features which tell you the website is a sales funnel.

Remarkable Content

You will notice remarkable content - that is, content which is about how to solve the potential clients' problems. It not all about me, me, me, and how wonderful the business is and what great products & services they have.

Compelling Offers

A sales funnel website will contain a range of compelling offers. Compelling in that it addresses a pain-point experienced by the potential clients. There will also be a range of offers - top, middle and bottom of sales funnel. i.e. appealing to people at different stages of the buying cycle.

Today it just is not enough to have a website. If you can't count the money you have made from it, it's time to give it a kick up the backside and put your website to work for you.
